Why start from Mardon
The NC500 begins and ends at Inverness Castle - five minutes from our sliding gate. Guests who overnight with us before starting the loop leave rested and packed; those who overnight after come home to a hot shower and a proper kitchen rather than another motorway hotel.
Where to sleep on the loop
- Night 1 - Applecross or Torridon.
- Night 2 - Ullapool.
- Night 3 - Durness or Tongue.
- Night 4 - Thurso or Wick.
- Return - Mardon.
