About Mardon Holiday Home

About Mardon Holiday Home.

Mardon is a family-run, licensed self-catering property near Inverness, bookable as two separate stays - the Main House and the Annex.

Our story

Our Story

Mardon is a family home near Inverness, set back from the A96 behind a gated entrance, around 15 minutes from Inverness Airport and on the corridor used to start or finish the North Coast 500. It was restored using local trades before opening to guests.

Today it operates as two independent stays: a two-bedroom Main House and a self-contained one-bedroom Annex. Mardon is managed day-to-day by Bushra, in person - no call centre, no faceless property management company. When you email, she replies directly, normally within a few hours.

Mardon is also a base for exploring the Highlands - Loch Ness, Culloden and the wider Inverness area are all a short drive away.

Why Mardon exists

Somewhere to actually live for a week.

Hotels are for one-night city stops. Mardon is for the week you spend driving the loop, or the long weekend you finally take with the family, or the three days you stitch onto a work trip because you never got to see Loch Ness properly last time.

So the kitchen has a proper oven. The bedrooms have blackout curtains. The Wi-Fi is fast enough to work from, and parking is behind a gated entrance. Small decisions, repeated - because a good stay is the sum of a hundred small things that were thought through.

Local knowledge

Local knowledge, shared with every guest.

A written guide is left on the kitchen table with our own suggestions for restaurants, cafés, viewpoints, walks and day trips, and a WhatsApp thread stays open for questions during your stay.
