How does a group of eight actually book here?
As two reservations on the same dates, one for the Main House and one for the Annex. They are separate self-contained properties rather than a single large house, so they cannot be booked as one line item.
This is the thing to understand before you enquire, because it is unusual. You are not booking a house that sleeps eight. You are booking two properties that between them sleep eight, on shared grounds behind one gated entrance.
In practice that means one enquiry, two confirmations. Send the dates and both units get checked together, so you are not left holding one booking while the other turns out to be unavailable.
The minimum stay is two nights at each. Both need to be free on your dates for the full eight to work, which is the main reason group bookings benefit from more notice than a couple booking one unit. Who does a two-unit setup actually suit?
Two families travelling together, multi-generational groups, and small work crews. Anyone who wants to share a trip without sharing a bathroom, a kitchen or a bedtime routine gets more from two units than from one large house.

What are the limits of the arrangement?
Eight is the ceiling, there is no single room large enough to seat all eight for dinner, and the two units do not connect internally. If your group needs one shared table and one shared living space, a single large house suits you better.
Worth saying plainly, because the wrong booking makes for a bad trip. The Main House has its own living and dining area, and the Annex has its own living space. There is no communal hall or shared lounge joining them.
So a group whose whole plan is eating together every night around one table should look for a large self-catering house instead. A group that wants shared days and separate evenings is exactly who this suits.
Two more constraints: no pets at either unit, and the property is set up for guests with a car. With a group of eight that usually means two or three vehicles, which the gated parking handles.
What does a group booking cost?
