Where to stay for Belladrum 2027 without a tent: Beauly or Inverness bases, ticket and re-entry rules, getting back each night, and how many nights to book.
Dry clothes, a shower and a proper bed can make the journey back worthwhile. Belladrum 2027 accommodation without camping means choosing both a place to sleep and a reliable way home each night.
The festival runs from 29 to 31 July 2027. Its organiser says the limited 2027 Early Bird ticket allocation sold out in around 16 minutes, according to its August update. That isn't a measure of room availability, but it's a reason to plan early.
Festival rules, transport status and property details checked on 24 October 2026. Illustrations are conceptual, not photographs of Belladrum, a booked transport service or Mardon.
Can you go to Belladrum without camping?
Yes, you can attend Belladrum and sleep in a hotel, B&B or holiday home elsewhere. Camping is optional, even when included with your festival ticket. The practical task is arranging admission, accommodation and transport separately, with a workable return journey every night.
Belladrum Tartan Heart Festival takes place at Belladrum Estate near Beauly, postcode IV4 7BA. Staying off-site means leaving the event to sleep elsewhere, then returning within your ticket's permitted dates and entry rules.
The festival FAQs say unused camping doesn't earn a ticket-price reduction. Glamping means upgraded camping; it isn't the same as booking an off-site room. Choose a hotel or self-catering property if avoiding a tent is the point.
Where should you stay for Belladrum 2027?
Compare Beauly and the nearby area for a location closer to the estate, central Inverness for access to city transport, and self-catering accommodation for kitchen and living space. Choose the actual address around your return plan, rather than relying on a booking site's nearby label.
| Base | Main benefit | Check before booking |
|---|---|---|
| Beauly or around Kiltarlity | A base nearer the festival area | Actual road access and a booked return journey |
| Central Inverness | Access to city services and the bus station | Walking distance from your confirmed shuttle stop |
| Inverness outskirts | Self-catering space and parking options | Transport between the property, festival and any bus stop |
A hotel room suits guests who want someone else to handle breakfast. A holiday home lets you eat when you wake up and share a living space. Check whether the advertised price covers your whole group or one room.
Don't assume a nearby village creates a safe walk home. The organiser advises against walking along the A862 or A833. Confirm a vehicle journey instead of planning a late-night roadside shortcut.

Which festival tickets and re-entry rules should you check?
Check that your festival ticket covers every day you want to attend, then confirm the current re-entry rules. Sleeping elsewhere doesn't turn a weekend ticket into a different ticket type. Keep your wristband intact and check entry deadlines before leaving for a break.
The current FAQs permit leaving and returning with a valid wristband. They also say that leaving after midnight means no re-entry until 8am the following day. Recheck these rules before July, particularly if you expect to return for late entertainment.
Day and two-day tickets weren't confirmed for 2027 when researched. Don't book a non-refundable overnight stay on the assumption that a particular day ticket will appear. A bus booking covers travel, not festival admission.
Save the ticket barcodes before travelling. The current FAQs say under-18s must be accompanied by someone aged 25 or over, with no more than two under-18s per adult. Check each child's ticket directly with the organiser; sleeping off-site doesn't remove the event's admission checks.
How do you get back to your accommodation each night?
Choose a confirmed shuttle, a pre-booked vehicle or a designated driver before fixing your accommodation plan. Check the full journey from the festival exit to your door. A shuttle returning to Inverness still leaves another transfer if your property is outside the city centre.
Shuttle buses
In 2026 the organiser's shuttle partner ran services between Inverness Bus Station and the festival site. D&E Coaches' Belladrum transport information now says those services have finished and invites interest for 2027, while the organiser says 2027 shuttle tickets will go on sale in due course. Don't treat last year's return times or fares as a new schedule.
Once booking opens, check the precise stop, date, final return and ticket conditions. Leave time to reach the departure point after your last act. Families should check child fares and suitable return options before committing.

Driving or arranging a pickup
Festival parking and accommodation parking are separate. The organiser describes daily car parking as suitable for visitors driving in and out, including non-campers with weekend tickets. Confirm the right pass before paying; don't assume a weekend parking pass means unrestricted daily use.
For a taxi or private hire booking, give the full destination and passenger count. Agree the designated pickup point using the latest event map. Official pages currently describe access differently, so follow updated instructions rather than an old gate description.
Arrange a non-drinking driver if travelling by car. A flexible festival evening needs a firm plan for getting home.
Guests who need accessible transport should confirm the vehicle and boarding arrangements with the operator. An accessible bedroom alone doesn't establish access through the festival grounds or the return journey.

Can a self-catering base outside Inverness work for Belladrum?
A self-catering base on the Inverness outskirts can work if transport is arranged in both directions, but it adds a leg to every journey. Belladrum lies west of the city near Beauly, so a property on the east side means crossing Inverness before and after each festival day.
Mardon is one example. We're in Milton of Culloden on the east side of the city, not beside Belladrum or central Inverness, so include that extra journey when comparing convenience, costs and late-night returns.
Our Main House sleeps up to five with a double bedroom, twin bedroom and sofa bed. The Annex sleeps up to three with a double bedroom and sofa bed. Each has its own kitchen and bathroom.
Both units together can accommodate up to eight guests if available on matching dates, as two separate bookings. Check bed-sharing arrangements before dividing the bill. Maximum occupancy doesn't mean eight individual beds.
The details that matter after a festival
Gated parking, a washing machine and a kitchen support a practical stay. Mardon sits beside the A96 and near the railway, so road or rail noise may be noticeable. Don't choose it expecting a silent rural setting.
For families staying near Inverness, a kitchen makes breakfast easier, but transport still needs planning around children. Agree arrival and late-return access in advance. Parties, hen and stag events aren't permitted; quiet hours are midnight to 7am.
Buy breakfast supplies before the first festival morning. Save the full address, Mardon, Milton of Culloden, Inverness, IV2 7NU, with your transport booking.

How many nights should you book, and what should you budget?
Three nights, checking in on Thursday 29 July and out on Sunday 1 August, cover the festival nights. Add Wednesday if you want to settle in before the opening day. Compare the complete accommodation total with transport, festival tickets, meals and any parking charges.
Thursday check-in may clash with the start of your festival day. Don't assume you can leave luggage early or return late without agreed access. A late airport arrival needs its own plan before you promise the group an evening at the festival.
